Quick Reference for Outlook Voice Access v3 (OVA)

Microsoft has just released v3 of their Outlook Voice Access (OVA) reference sheet.

Overview

Outlook Voice Access lets UM-enabled users to access their Exchange 2007 mailbox using analog, digital, or cellular telephones. By using the menu system found in Outlook Voice Access, UM-enabled users can read e-mail, listen to voice messages, and interact with their Outlook calendar. This quick reference sheet shows the navigational tree and the options that are available to UM-enabled users when they are using Outlook Voice Access.

Exchange 2007 Management Tools (32-bit)

Exchange Server 2007 is a native 64-bit application that includes 64-bit management tools. You can use the management tools to administer your Exchange Server environment remotely. If the remote computer is running a 32-bit operating system, you will need to download the 32-bit management tools.

Update Rollup 2 for Exchange 2007 SP1 Released (KB948016)

Update Rollup 2 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) resolves issues that were found in Exchange Server 2007 SP1 since the software was released. This update rollup is highly recommended for all Exchange Server 2007 SP1 customers.
For a list of changes that are included in this update rollup, see KB948016.

This update rollup does not apply to Exchange Server 2007 Release To Manufacturing (RTM).

For a list of update rollups applicable to Exchange Server 2007 RTM, refer to the section Update rollups for Exchange Server 2007 RTM in the Knowledge Base article KB937052.

This is a cumulative update rollup and replaces the following:

  • KB945684 Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (KB945684)

Windows 2008 Improvements that benefit Exchange 2007

The MS Exchange team released part 2 of their Exchange 2007 and Windows server 2008 series.  Here is an excerpt I found interesting.  It sums up the key benefits that you’ll see when deploying Exchange 2007 on a Windows server 2008 platform.

Exchange 2007 and MS08-003 Issue

The MS Exchange posted an article addressing an issue with the February 2008 round of patches from Microsoft.  Exchange 2007 administrators need to be aware of this issue and what to look for should you encounter it in your Exchange environment.

EMC Error:

Active Directory operation failed on <domain name>.  This error could have been causes by user input or by the Active Directory server being unavailable.  Please retry at a later time.  ……..

"It was running command ‘get-recipient -ResultSize ‘1000′ ‘DisplayName’ -RecipienttType ‘UserMailbox”.

Get-StorageGroupCopyStatus doesn’t work on Exchange 2007 SP1

Issue

You have deployed Exchange 2007 with CCR in your environment.   You upgrade your Exchange 2007 platform to SP1 and now when you run the Get-StorageGroupCopyStatus command you get an RPC error.
