Instructions for Programming Your Uniden BCT8 Scanner

BCT8 Manual Programming for Trunking

1. Press and hold the Trunk button for 2 secs
2. Choose a bank by pressing 1-2-3-4 or 5
3. Using the up or down arrows, select Trunk type
4. Press E twice
5. Enter a frequency
6. Press E
7. Press the up arrow to advance
8. Repeat steps 5-7

Adding ID’s

1. Press and hold the Trunk button for 2 secs
2. Choose a bank by pressing 1-2-3-4 or 5
3. Using the up or down arrows, select Trunk type
4. Press E twice
5. Press the up arrow
6. Press E
7. Enter ID
8. Press E
9. Press up arrow to advance
10. Repeat steps 7-9

To make sure you’re a ready for Trunked scanning, press PVT until you see Trunk M L or E PVT in the display

BCT8 Manual Programming for Conventional Frequencies

1. Press Hold 1 Hold (You are now on channel 1)
2. Enter frequency
3. Press E
4. Use up arrow to move to next channel
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4

When you finish, press ScanYou are now scanning HWY and PVT
To only scan PVT press PVT once
To only scan HWY press PVT twice
To scan both HWY and PVT press PVT three times

Note: You can program 50 channels per bank
You have 5 banks, which equals 250 channels
When in HWY mode, the scanner will scan the Highway Patrol in your state.
To select your state, press State on your scanner until your state appears.
